How To Lose Weight After You Have A Baby
Soon after marriage, a lot of women have concerns and anxious about getting pregnant. They often ask themselves if they are able to conceive and have babies. Some would probably even fork out quite a considerable amount of money on specialized medical check-ups and advices on how to get pregnant and to have healthy babies. Once pregnant and having given birth, their next immediate concern is how to lose weight and remove those extra post pregnancy pounds.
If you aren’t happy with the pounds you have gained while you were pregnant, don’t freak out. You can lose those pounds without much hassle if you know what to do. You may be thinking that you will not have the time to exercise because your baby is so young that it needs to have you super close by almost all of the time. Of course, your baby will be sleeping a lot too. If you get into the habit of getting your workouts in whenever your baby is napping, you’ll soon see drastic results. Here are three exercises you can do during that nap time that will supercharge your day and leave you feeling and looking your best.
Yoga: This is a particularly great way to get back into shape through toning and stretching your body. The best thing about yoga is that it goes slowly and is very low impact so that you can do your workout while your baby is asleep. You can use any of the multitude of online videos to learn different yoga moves as well as apps from smartphones. Once you have been practicing yoga for a while, you’ll see that you are feeling strong and good and that your clothing has started to fit better. Breathing through forearm planking is another fantastic weight loss tool. Once in this position you will lower yourself until your forearms are flat on the floor. Now straighten those legs to create a straight line with your legs. Now, inhale throught the nose and exhale out the mouth as you practice squeezing your abs and hold. Next do a few pushups. Repeat this three times and you’ll be well on your way to your pre-pregnancy weight. This exercise will help you strengthen your core and correct your posture.
Walking: In 2007 Harvard did a study that proved walking for just a half an hour every day can lower the chances of a woman keeping her pregnancy weight. Women who participated in this study lost eleven pounds and most of the women had lost all of their pregnancy weight by their babys’ first birthdays. So get outside and breathe in that fresh air! The time of day that you choose to walk is not remotely important but if you want to take your baby with you (in the stroller or in a carrier) you need to be sure to walk when the weather will be hospitable for your baby.
Take lots of fluids with you when you go. Do this every day and you’ll lose that weight in no time.
There you go! Those are best ways for any Mom to lose enough weight so that she can go back to her pre-pregnancy size. If you use these tips it shouldn’t take you a lot of time to fit back into your old clothing.
