The Best Methods To Lose Weight After You Have Your Baby
When you first found out that you were going to have a baby your doctors first instructions were probably “start gaining weight.”
Weight gain is a natural part of pregnancy. Eating for two makes it pretty easy to gain weight. Now that your baby has been born, however, you probably want to start shedding pounds as quickly as possible. You want your figure to back to how it was before. You’ll be glad to know that we’ve compiled three things that you can do to get your weight back to it’s previous state after you have had your baby. Try any one of them and you’re sure to be able to fit into your old clothes again in no time.
Yoga: Yoga uses stretching and toning to get back in shape. The best part about yoga is that it’s slow and non-impact so you can actually get your workout in while your baby is napping. There are many videos online that can take you through a yoga workout, and there are even some Smartphone apps that can give you some great yoga moves to do. After you have done yoga for a little while you will notice that, not only do your clothes fit better, but that your body feels stronger and better as well.
Pilates: Pilates might seem slow (or lame) but it helps you burn 226 calories every hour.
That’s quite a lot of calories with very few stretching movements on your part. You can find moves for your workout through DVDs, online videos or even books. One of the best exercises to do after giving birth is to lie on your back and bend your knees. Put your hands behind your head and take a breath. Then, breathe out as you contract your abs and lift your head and shoulders off the floor. Then, straighten out your legs and lift them into a forty five degree angle from your body while you stretch out your arms and keep your palms down. Pump your arms while inhaling rhythmicly for five beats. Then use five beats to breathe back out. If you can do 100 of these a day you’ll get into shape faster than you think!
You probably already know this next exercise called the classic crunch. To do a crunch you simply lie on the ground with hand behind your head and knees bent. Now inhale through the nose and exhale as you tighten your abs as you lift your head and shoulders off the floor. Relax your behind while bringing your hips and ribs toward one another. Slowly return to the starting position. Do as many of these as you can, working towards 20, then 50. Reaching 50 means you have built up your endurance and may want to try adding weight for more challenge.
There you go! These are some of the best ways that a woman can lose weight and get back to her pre-pregnancy size. Use these tips so that you can be sure you will fit into your old clothing after a short time.
