Lose Weight After Your Pregnancy

Shortly after marriage, nearly all women have concerns and nervous about getting pregnant. They often ask themselves whether they are able to conceive and have children. Some may even spend quite a large amount of money on medical check-ups and advices on how to get pregnant and to have healthy babies. Once pregnant and having given birth, their next immediate concern is how to lose weight and shed those excess post pregnancy pounds.

If you aren’t happy with the weight you’ve gained during your pregnancy, don’t worry. Losing the weight is easy if you know what you should do. You might be thinking that you won’t be able to exercise because your baby is so young that he needs you close by all the time. Don’t forget that a newborn baby sleeps most of the time. If you get into the habit of doing your workouts when your baby takes a nap, you’ll see lots of results. Here are three things that you can do while your baby is sleeping that will keep you energetic and feeling your best.

Many are not aware of the weight loss benefits of Latin style dancing. Dancing in this manner helps you burn calories, feel more sexy and shed those pounds quickly. You will be able to learn a few latin moves from online videos or workout dvd’s. This can be extremely fun to workout this way and best of all you won’t even feel like you are working out at all. While you watch the weight fall off you will continue to have fun and will be more likely to stick with it. Another exercise proven effective is forearm plank with breathing, for this you get on all fours with your wrists directly under your shoulders. Then you will slowly lower yourself until the forearms rest flat on the surface below you. Now straighten those legs to create a straight line with your legs. Now, inhale throught the nose and exhale out the mouth as you practice squeezing your abs and hold. The next step is a sort of push up move for 30 seconds. Repeat this three times and you’ll be well on your way to your pre-pregnancy weight. You’ll look better have a stronger core and better posture.

The Bicycle: This doesn’t actually mean you will be riding a bicycle. This is an ab exercise that works really well for women who want to lose weight after giving birth. First, lay down so that you have bent knees and calves that are parallel to the floor. Your hands should go behind your head and you need to breathe in and then out while you draw in your abs. Keep your posterior muscles relaxed as you stretch out your right leg and move your right shoulder to your left knee. Your shoulders and your head should come up off of the ground as you do this movement. Then return to your starting position and then repeat the same on the other side. Complete three sets of between twelve and twenty of these and you will soon see that your pregnancy weight is gone.

These are exercises that can all be done while your baby takes a nap. Even if your only option is to do lots of shorter exercises during your day instead of doing a single, long workout it is far better to do that than not to work out at all. You can lose the baby weight, you just have to want it. Luckily, if you do these exercises often enough, you will reach your goals!
