Fighting the Battle
Like many Best Life members, Pam Chinik struggled with her weight for most of her life. “I started putting on weight at around 11 years of age, and I was slightly overweight all through high school,” Pam says. Her weight continued to climb during college and her twenties, and by the time she was 29, she had reached 235 pounds. Over the next seven years, she tried Sugar Busters, Jenny Craig, Overeaters Anonymous, and more. She would drop a few pounds, but eventually and inevitably, the weight would creep back on.
