Is it normal to have pains in left side going to back when laying on right side?

I am 20 weeks pregnant with my second baby girl and when i lay on my right side i get sharp pain running to my back and they dont stop till i lay on my back it feels like a sharp cramp. and could anyone tell me why with my second pregnancy no matter what side i sleep on my sides to my feet go numb and hurt realy bad is any of this normal?

Its probably because your daughter is leaning against a nerve. My sister was pregnant with twins recently (3 month old boys now) and when she went to lay down on her left side/right she would feel like her legs went completely numb. Not because she was carrying twins but because how each baby was laying. One would be laying on her spine, which is where all your nerves connect, and the other would be laying on the side she was laying on. But like wise, depends on where your baby is laying.

It should get better, you can talk to your doc about it he/she might have something you can do to help with the pains, and give you advice about how to lay.
Maybe you can try a pillow under your side or elevate your feet? good luck & congrats!
